Semiconductor Industry

The range of parts in the semiconductor industry includes simple guide pins, sophisticated sockets, plungers, docking stations, protection plates, heat sinks and much more. Groth Engineering has worked with our semiconductor customers to deliver parts that go right into assembly.

One of the ways we have served the Semiconductor industry has been the making of test fixtures. Every test fixture is different and we work closely with our customers to give them an optimized fixture that will work for them for a minimized cost and fast turn around. Groth Engineering has been a key vendor for the semiconductor industry and were given the “Most Valuable Vendor Award” by one of our Semiconductor customers. This was an unexpected pleasure.

Groth has been instrumental in the development of docking systems, pneumatics, and single and dual test stations. We worked with one of our customer's engineering team, to develop robotic computer controlled centering tables. It was challenging, but very rewarding and successful. Another customer came to us to help them develop a very successful temperature exchanger to test computer chips under extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

We routinely use materials such as Torlon 5030, Peek, and Semi-tron for our semiconductor customers. Special care in machining is required for these materials along with complete traceability.
